The owner of the Yale Park Apartments has been cited for 100 misdemeanor charges related to the code violations found on the property last fall.
City Prosecutor Matthew Kuhse tells NewsRadio 1110 KFAB Kay Anderson returned to Omaha after being out of town for several days. "It's my understanding he appeared in the planning department this morning and an Omaha police officer went up and issued him his citation for the 100 counts that we anticipate filing against him for the housing code violations."
Anderson will be arraigned March 4 and faces up to six months in jail, a $500 fine or both on each violation. The apartment complex was shut down and all of the residents were evacuated and forced to go somewhere else to live.
