A homicide investigation is underway following a Sunday night shooting.
Omaha Police say officers were called to the Creighton University Medical Center-University Campus near 24th and Cuming just before 10:00 after 28 year Robert Williams Jr. arrived at the emergency department suffering from a gunshot wound. Williams was transported to Bergan Mercy where he later died from his injuries.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide and anyone with information is urged to contact the OPD Homicide Unit at 444-5656 or Omaha Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP. Tips leading to the arrest of a homicide suspect are eligible for a $25,000 reward.
