Victim In Weekend Shooting Arrested In Connection To 2015 Murder

A teen who is recovering from a weekend shooting has been booked into Douglas County Jail in connection to another shooting.

Omaha Police say on Tuesday, eighteen year old Shadow Harlan was booked for First Degree Murder in connection to the August 2015 shooting death of 23 year old Deprecia Neelon near 21st and Pinkney.

Early Saturday morning, January 26th, officers were called to 36th and Lake around 3:00 following a ShotSpotter activation. Witnesses told police that people in a silver vehicle might have shot at a white truck. The victim, later identified as Harlan, then made his way to the hospital seeking treatment. He is expected to recover.

Marcus Short is currently on trial in connection to Neelon's death.
