Warren Buffett Gifts Millions Of Dollars In Stock To Charities

Omaha billionaire Warren Buffett, one of the world's richest men, has been sharing the wealth with others.

Since last summer, Buffett has given away over $13 million in Berkshire Hathaway stock to five different charities. On Tuesday, the Berkshire B stock gifts, given between August and October of 2018, were disclosed to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The gifts are all part of Buffett's large-scale plan to give away the majority of his wealth over time. The five charities receiving stock last year weren't named, but it is known that five foundations will receive the bulk of Buffett's fortune. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is set to be the biggest recipient of Berkshire stock over time.
