Auburn Schools Superintendent Resigns After Being Placed On Leave

A rural Nebraska school superintendent has resigned after being placed on leave earlier this month.

On Monday, Auburn Superintendent Kevin Reiman announced his resignation at the school board's meeting. Reiman had been placed on leave on January 9th after a video appeared on social media of the superintendent reportedly showing a video of a student fight to people at his home. A voice on the social media video, that can be heard narrating and laughing with others about the fight, appeared to be Reiman's.

At Monday's meeting, Reiman said he'd made a mistake in not keeping the video confidential and thathe has taken full responsibility for the release of the video. He went on to say he, "should have exercised greater caution while examining the video to ensure that it could not be viewed by my family or released to the greater public."
