Perdue Recalls Chicken Nuggets Over Concerns Of Wood In The Meat

Perdue is recalling thousands of pounds of chicken nuggets over concerns about wood in the meat.

More than 68,000 pounds of the gluten free Organics Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets are being recalled due to the possible wood contamination. The nuggets were produced on Oct. 25 and sold at stores nationwide. They have a UPC bar code of 72745-80656 and the establishment number of P-33944 in the US Agriculture Department inspection mark.

Perdue has received at least three complaints that wood was found in the nuggets. Although The USDA says there have been no confirmed reports of any illnesses linked to the nuggets, product should still be thrown away or returned to the point of purchase.
