Papillion fire fighters battled a massive house fire at Arlene Ave. and Suzanne Ave. late Friday night.
According to the Battalion Chief, the fire originated in the basement and went up three stories to the attic. Fire crews originally entered the home, but it was determined the floors were unstable and the crews exited.
A ladder truck was brought to the scene to try and put out the fire. The house was fully engulfed, but officials said it was never out of hand. The homeowner was the only occupant and he sustained no injuries.
