Salvation Army Opens Omaha Warming Centers

The Salvation Army’s community warming centers are open to people needing a break from the dangerously cold weather this weekend.

Kroc Center, 2825 Y St.

  • Friday, January 18:  6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, January 19:  6 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, January 20:  1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Monday, January 21:  6 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Burrows Center, 6101 NW Radial Highway

  • Friday, January 18:  9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

North Corps, 2424 Pratt St.

  • Friday, January 18:  9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Council Bluffs Corps, 715 N. 16th St.

  • Friday, January 18:  9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Salvation Army opens community warming centers for the most vulnerable in the community.  During these coldest weeks of the year the Salvation Army is still seeking supplies to assist the Winter Night Watch program—including men’s coats (especially XL, 2XL, and 3XL), tube socks, hats, gloves, and blankets. 

Donations can be dropped off at The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services building (10629 Burt Circle) Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
