Eppley Airfield is currently closed after Southwest Airlines flight 1643 slid off the end of the runway around 2:00 Friday afternoon.
All flights are currently suspended and passengers are urged to check with their individual airline for flight status.
There were no injuries and airport fire crews are working with Southwest to deplane the passengers and take them to the terminal. Jeanette Taylor was on board the plane from Las Vegas. "We kind of had a bumpy landing and once were starting to slow down the plane just kind of fishtailed and we ended up in the grass and it stopped."
