The push to provide legal access to cannabis for medical purposes made a quick trip into the Nebraska legislature.
Senator Anna Wishart has introduced LB 110 to open that door to eligible Nebraskans.
“I am proud to introduce the Medical Cannabis Act in the 106th Legislature, as I have met with and heard the stories of countless Nebraskans that are suffering from a disease or chronic illness and require access to this form of medication. I believe that the Legislature has a tremendous opportunity to put in place a comprehensive, safe, and sustainable medical cannabis system this year.”
The 2019 legislative session opened on Wednesday.
