Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Hit And Run Crash

A pedestrian is recovering after being injured in a hit and run crash. 

Omaha Police say just before 10:30 Sunday night, officers were called to the intersection of NW Radial Highway and Hamilton Street for a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian. Authorities say 53 year old William McKnight was walking from west to east near the intersection when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. McKnight was transported to Nebraska Medicine with a broken left leg. His injuries are considered serious, but non life-threatening

The suspect vehicle immediately fled the scene after the collision and there were no known witnesses to the crash. The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP (7867).
