The search is still on for a suspect that Council Bluffs Police say crashed their car into a fast food restaurant and then fled the scene.
Authorities say officers were called to the Taco Bell on West Broadway Street just after 2:00 Tuesday morning for a report of a hit and run.
Witnesses told officers that a blue Ford Mustang was driving west on Broadway when the driver lost control. The vehicle then ran into the bus stop bench, continued on to roll over a light pole and came to rest against the Taco Bell.
The driver fled the scene of the accident on foot and so far, police have not been able to locate the driver. The crash remains under investigation.
