The driver involved in a fatal Wednesday morning crash has been identified as a seventeen year old boy.

The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office says just before 8:00, emergency crews were dispatched to a personal injury accident near Cornhusker Road and  S.P. Benson Drive.

Once on the scene, crews found that a 1984 Honda Accord had struck a utility pole on the north side of the road.  Medics at the scene, attempted to revive the sole occupant of the vehicle, however they were unsuccessful. The driver, Christian Lamblin of Bellevue, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lamblin was a student at Papillion/LaVista South High School and the district has been advised of his death.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office.
