Car Stolen Then Crashed Into Lincoln Home

Lincoln Police are reminding vehicle owners not to leave their cars unattended while warming up.

Police say around 7:30 Sunday night, a 35 year old man reported that he started three vehicles to warm them up in the area of 30th and U Street and went back inside.

When the man returned a short time later, he saw someone was driving away with the 2004 black BMW. Shortly after 11:30, the stolen BMW crashed into a home near 28th and Starr Street. The car was wedged under the porch and couldn't be removed as it’s currently supporting the home.

The homeowner is working to have the porch safely lifted so the car can be removed without causing further damage to the home. No arrests have been made.
