A 35 year old Bellevue woman is fighting for her life following what police believe was a domestic violence related shooting.
Bellevue Police say just before 1:30 Thursday morning, emergency crews were called to a home in the area of Hickory Circle and Childs Road for a reported accidental shooting. When crews arrived, they found the woman suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds and transported her to Nebraska Medicine. During the course of the investigation, police determined that the shooting had been intentional and arrested 35 year old David Clark.
Clark was taken into custody on a number of charges including First Degree Attempted Murder, First Degree Assault, First Degree Domestic Violence, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Authorities say there were children in the house at the time of the incident and that they were safely removed from the home.
