Group Of Juveniles Vandalize Lincoln Church

Four juveniles are in trouble with the law after vandalizing a Lincoln church.

Lincoln Police say just before 2:00 Sunday afternoon, a pastor at Collegeview Church near 48th and Prescott Avenue reported finding the church had been vandalized and had over $1000 in damage.

A dry fire extinguisher had been discharged in the choir room, food was opened and spilled in various locations, the door to the youth room had been kicked open and there was graffiti inside the room.

Employees had noticed a few teenagers recently hanging around the church and suspected they may have been involved. When the juveniles returned to the church, officers contacted them and their parents.

Two 13 year olds and a 12 year old were referred to the County Attorney for trespassing, vandalism, and theft. One 13-year-old was referred for trespassing.
