Cocaine, Pot, Gun Found In Weekend Traffic Stops

Nebraska State Patrol troopers arrested three people and seized cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, THC products, more than 100 pounds of marijuana and a gun during two traffic stops Saturday on Interstate 80.

The first traffic stop happened around 11:45 a.m. when a trooper observed an eastbound Toyota Tacoma speeding near Hershey.  During the stop, an NSP K9 detected the odor of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle.  A search revealed 19 pounds of high grade marijuana, 2 ounces of psilocybin mushrooms, 9 ounces of THC budder, 127 grams of THC shatter and 129 grams of THC oil. Troopers also found a handgun. 

The driver, 33 year old Kurt Nauman of Red Lion, Pennsylvania, was arrested for possession of marijuana, more than one pound, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of hallucinogens with intent to deliver, possession of THC-Hash with intent to deliver, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm during a felony drug violation and no drug tax stamp. 

The second traffic stop occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. when a trooper observed an eastbound RV driving on the shoulder near Gibbon.  During the traffic stop the trooper learned that the driver, 62 year old Monty Rideout of Orting, Washington had a revoked license. 

Troopers conducted a search of the vehicle and found 85 pounds of marijuana, 1 gram of cocaine, 22 THC vape cartridges, 24 ounces of an unknown liquid, and more than $13,000 in drug money. 

Rideout, and passenger 52 year old Eric Doss of Pendleton, Oregon, were arrested for possession of marijuana – more than one pound, possession with intent to deliver, and possession of drug money. Rideout was also arrested for possession of cocaine and driving during revocation.
