A Lincoln man and his two dogs are dead after a house fire late Wednesday night. Investigators say a neighbor reported seeing flames in the windows just at 11:00 p.m. near 44th and Franklin.
When crews arrived there was smoke and flames coming from the house. Crews initially attacked fire from outside and made their way inside to begin search and rescue operations.
84 year old Jerry Snyder was pronounced dead at the scene. His two dogs were also found dead inside the house.
Investigators say the fire appears to be accidental.
