Omaha Woman Busted After Driving 117 MPH

An Omaha woman has been arrested after Nebraska State Patrol troopers stopped her for driving 117 mph early Wednesday morning near 120th and Maple.

The patrol says around around 1:20 a.m. a trooper observed a 2007 Jeep Patriot going 117 in a 40 mph zone. They say 24 year old Elizabeth Reed was also driving recklessly and ran a stop light.

After the trooper was able to pull the vehicle over, Reed was tested and had a .157 blood alcohol level, nearly twice the legal limit. She was arrested for DUI, first offense.
