Two People Killed In Crash In Western Iowa

An Omaha woman was one of two people killed in a head-on crash around 11:00 Wednesday night on I-29 in Monona County, Iowa.

The Iowa State Patrol says 40 year old Angela Bender of Omaha was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of the interstate 29 near Blencoe when she collided head-on with a northbound vehicle driven by 51 year old Carolyn Klimper of Fort Morgan Colorado.

Both Bender and Klimper were killed.   Three other people were injured.  They are identified as 21 year old Mikayla Klimper, 52 year old Preston Klimper of Fort Morgan, and 32 year old William Wiley of Phoenix, Arizona.

The State Patrol is still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
