Student Arrested For Bringing Knife To Millard North

A Millard North student is accused of bringing a knife to school and making a threat against another student.

In a message to parents, Principal Brian Begley said "a student brought a knife to school and said they were going to hurt another student. We were made aware of the comments and worked with law enforcement to investigate. The student was arrested."

Begley also said "safety is our top priority. Threats will not be tolerated. We will always investigate any comment or concern, and we appreciate the support of Millard North Security Resource Officer John Martinez and the Omaha Police Department."

Begley says they will apply their own consequences based on the MPS student code of conduct.  "This matter was handled without a disruption to the learning day," Begley says.
