Ozigbo Earns Big Ten Offensive Player Of Week Award

Nebraska's improving offense is garnering attention in the Big Ten Conference.  For the second week in a row Husker quarterback Adrian Martinez was named the Big 10 Freshman of the week and senior running back Devine Ozigbo was named the Big 10 Offensive Player of the Week.

Nebraska will need those kinds of offensive sparks to bring into the Michigan State game Saturday. Frost said, "This is close to as good a defense as we've faced all year."

Frost knew this would be a year of gradual improvement and while he had hoped for better results, he says the program is heading in the right direction.

"I think everyone can feel the momentum," Frost said. He said everyone can see where the program is going, "and that in itself has been a success."

Nebraska takes on the Spartans at 11 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Stadium on Senior Day.  Ozigbo, who had 162 yards rushing and three touchdowns against Illinois, needs 42 yards in the final two games to reach the one-thousand yard mark.
