Snow and ice tangled and snarled traffic all across the metro area during the Friday morning commute. Traffic was moving at a crawl on Interstates 80, 480, and 680 and on the Kennedy Freeway due to the number of accidents, and the slick conditions.
There were so man accidents that Omaha Police stopped responding to non-injury accidents around 6:00 a.m. They encouraged drivers to exchange information and file a report later. Paramedics are not responding to minor medical calls.
6 News' First Alert Weather team says the snow should be moving in and out by 10:00 a.m. and some areas of the metro could get up to two inches of snow before it is over.
