Salvation Army Announces Tree of Lights Campaign Goal

You will start seeing bell ringers around the metro area as the Salvation Army kicks off it's 2018 Tree of Lights Campaign. 

This year’s fundraising goal for the campaign is $2.85 million.  On Thursday night the 75-foot-tall Tree of Lights was lit up at 90th and Dodge.  

The Salvation Army’s red kettles will be placed at 140 locations in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro from through Dec. 24.  Volunteer bell ringers can sign up online at or by calling 402-898-6000.  People can also give to the Tree of Lights Campaign online at
