A New Plan for a Juvenile Justice Center

Douglas County Commissioner James Cavanaugh unveiled a new plan for a Juvenile Justice Center that he says would build and expand the Youth Detention Center at 42nd and Woolworth, build a justice center on county land that is already owned by the county, and save $25 million over the current plan presented to the county board. In addition, it would require a public vote which would probably happen in May 2020.
