A Papillion man was killed in a crash on Highway 6 and Melia Road near Gretna Tuesday afternoon. Sarpy County investigators say around 2:30 a pickup pulling a pontoon boat and trailer was eastbound on Highway 6.
The driver, 73 year old Daniel Klaumann of Gretna, was trying to turn left onto northbound Melia Road. The boat and trailer were struck by a westbound Camry. The driver of the Camry, 76 year old Gary Stott of Papillion, died at the scene.
Klaumann and his passenger, LuAnn Klaumann, were uninjured. The Sarpy County Crash Response Unit responded to the investigation. Highway 6 was closed for approximately 3 hours.
