An Omaha mother is behind bars, accused in connection with the death of her infant son.
Police arrested 28 year old Hanin Alnajjar on Tuesday, booked for Negligent Child Abuse Resulting in Death. According to a police report, officers were called to an apartment near 24th and Mason Street on October 7th. The call for help was about a 9 month old baby found in a bath tub.
When officers arrived a medic was performing CPR on the baby, Maliq Huebner. Alnajjar told police she was giving Maliq a bath and then found him drowning. The boy was taken to the hospital but later died.
A warrant was issued for Alnajjar's arrest on Tuesday, October 30th. Court documents show she filed for divorce last week and that the couple has four other children together.
