Delivery Driver Gets New Car From Jimmy John's Founder

A Nebraska delivery driver got a huge surprise after helping a disabled veteran last week.

On Saturday, Zach Hillmer, who delivers sandwiches for Jimmy John's in Columbus, received a new SUV from Jimmy John's founder Jimmy John Liautaud. Hillmer had been using a nearly 30 year old car to make his freaky fast deliveries. Liautaud even took the time to travel to Columbus to deliver the new vehicle in person.

Hillmer and the restaurant were in the spotlight after a Florida woman accidentally called the Columbus restaurant while trying to get in touch with her brother's social worker. Lisa Nagengast said her brother, Greg Holeman, had just had spinal fusion surgery and called her to say he was in pain, having issues with his incision and needed to get to the hospital.

Instead of telling Nagengast that they couldn't help the store's manager talked with Hillmer, who is also a veteran, and agreed they needed to help. Hillmer rushed to Holeman's house and drove him to the hospital.
