A Douglas County judge has set bond at $500,000 for a 16-year-old Burke High School student accused of stabbing a female student at school earlier this month.
Nicholas Cisar was booked for Felony First-Degree Assault and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony. He's being charged as an adult following the October 9 incident that critically injured 15 year old Lacey Paige. Investigators say Cisar then cut himself, resulting in serious injuries.
Prosecutors say Cisar waited until Paige went to the restroom and stabbed her several times in the back. She remains at Bergan Mercy and is in fair condition.
