Employees, Customer Zip-Tied During CVS Robbery

Three teenagers have been arrested after Bellevue Police say they stole thousands of dollars worth of prescription pills.

Police were called to the CVS Pharmacy at 1701 Galvin Road around 9:30 Sunday morning.  Sarpy County dispatch gave a vehicle and suspect description over the police radio. The vehicle was stopped by Bellevue Police near JFK and Q Street in Omaha. 

Three suspects were taken into custody without incident.  During the investigation, officers learned that around 9:20 a.m. two of the suspects entered the store armed with a handgun. They first pushed down a customer and zip-tied his hands.  They then zip-tied the hands of two employees. 

The suspects then forced the pharmacist to unlock the safe and zip-tied her as well. They then took a large amount of prescription pills and fled the store.   The customer received minor injuries and refused medical attention. There were no other injuries. 

Officers recovered a handgun and over $60,000 worth of prescription pills from the suspects’ vehicle.     18 year old Daewoo Robertson and a 17-year-old male were arrested and will be booked for Robbery, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, False Imprisonment, and Criminal Conspiracy. 19 year old Billy Adell III was arrested and will be booked for Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy. 

Daewoo and Adell are in the Sarpy County Jail. The 17-year-old was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center.   The Great Plains Violent Crime Task Force and FBI will assist in the investigation.
