A woman is in critical condition following a Sarpy County crash Thursday night.
The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office says around 5:15 deputies responded to a two vehicle personal injury accident near 79th and Platteview Road. A witness told deputies that a silver Ford Focus was eastbound on Platteview Road when it began to lose control. The silver Ford Focus then crossed the center line, where it was struck by a westbound black Ford Explorer.
The woman driving the silver Ford Focus was transported to an Omaha hospital with critical injuries. The man behind the wheel of the black Ford Explorer did not require medical treatment. Each vehicle was occupied by a driver only.
The accident is still under investigation by the South Metro Crash Response Team. No further details have been released at this time.
