Man With Expiring $1 Million Powerball Ticket Claims Prize

The holder of a $1 million Powerball ticket that was about to expire has come forward.  Robert Abraham of Omaha claimed the prize on October 12.

For the April 18 Powerball drawing, one ticket sold in Nebraska matched all five winning white ball numbers (09, 10, 12, 17, 23) for $1 million. The ticket was sold at Kwik Shop at 21st and Capehart Road in Bellevue.

Winning Nebraska Lottery Lotto tickets expire 180 days after the drawing, so the $1 million ticket would have expired on October 15.  Abraham didn't turn the ticket in until last Friday.
