Hit And Run Driver Causes Gasoline Spill

Authorities are looking for the driver involved in a hit and run with a fuel hose Thursday morning, causing nearly 100 gallons of gasoline to spill onto the pavement.

The spill happened around 1:30 at a gas station near 42nd and F streets.

A tanker was delivering fuel when a motorist ran over the hose initiating the fuel spill. The motorist drove off as the gasoline flowed. No one was injured, but some of the fuel did get into the sewer.

Police had to shut down several traffic lanes while the spill was cleaned up.
