The search for a missing North Platte has ended in tragedy.
Friday night the North Platte Police said that around 5:00, the Nebraska State Patrol helicopter found the body of 51 year old Stacy Polenske. The Nebraska State Patrol had issued an Endangered Missing Advisory on Monday after Polenske was reported missing on Sunday. Polenske had a medical issue, which caused her to be disorientated and experience blackouts.
Polenske's body was found in the same area where her van was found on Tuesday, October 2nd. The cause of death is unknown at this time and a death investigation is currently ongoing.
