Pedestrian Killed In Wednesday Night Crash

A pedestrian has died following a Wednesday night crash.

Omaha Police say just after 7:00 officers were called to the area of 101st and Maple streets for a personal injury crash involving a pedestrian and minivan. Investigators found that the pedestrian was attempting to cross Maple Street from south to north and was hit by a westbound 2002 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. 

The pedestrian was transported to Nebraska Medicine where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash. His identity has not been revealed yet, pending notification of family. 

The victim was not in a marked crosswalk and police have not filed any charges against the 49 year old driver of the Chrysler at this time.
