Omaha Apartment Complex Shut Down For Inspections

After receiving more than 90 complaints from residents at the Yale Park Apartments near 34th and Lake a full-scale housing inspection started at 9:00 Thursday morning.  Residents had to leaves their homes as the inspectors moved in.

Residents had many complaints,  including rodents, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, weeds and litter. There are 100 units in the apartment complex where refugees from Myanmar live.  

Omaha Fire Department inspectors are now on the scene conducting those inspections. The mayor and other city officials will update the media about the inspections later in the morning.
