Driver Blames Sunglare On South Omaha Accident

A man suffered a broken leg after being struck by a car at 30th and Q around 7:00 Tuesday night.             Investigators say a 2001 Ford Taurus was westbound on Q St.  The driver, 20 year old Arbay Aden, told officers she couldn't see the traffic signal at the intersection due to sun glare, but continued to drive at approximately 40 mph. 

At that moment the traffic signal turn red and a man had begun to cross from north to south in the marked crosswalk. 26 year old David Montclair was struck by the car,  which then stopped after the collision.

Montclair was taken to Nebraska Medicine with with serious leg injuries.  Aden was cited for violation of a traffic signal, no driver's license and no proof of insurance.
