Anthony Garcia's Fate To Be Decided On Friday

Convicted murderer Anthony Garcia will learn his fate in a Nebraska courtroom on Friday. Death or Life.

Garcia's life was in the hands of a three judge panel, who will make the final decision on whether the former Creighton pathology resident receives life in prison or the death penalty. In 2016, Garcia was found guilty in the 2008 murders of 11 year old Thomas Hunter and 57 year old Shirlee Sherman and the 2013 murders of Dr. Roger Brumback and his wife Mary Brumback. Investigators say the murders were retaliation for Garcia's firing from the Creighton pathology department in 2001.

Now, Judges Gary Randall and Russell Bowie of Omaha and Ricky Schreiner of southeast Nebraska will hand down their decision, bringing some closure to the ten year old nightmare.
