Brandon Valentine learned his fate in a Lancaster County courtroom Thursday morning. He was sentenced to 16 to 18 years in prison on a manslaughter conviction for the death of an 8-year-old boy in a traffic accident last March.
Valentine had pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of Camden King. On March 16, Valentine's F150 collided with a car killing King and seriously injuring his father.
According to Lincoln Police, officers found bottles of alcohol in Valentine's car. They say Valentine was hungover and going more than 70 miles per hour in a 30-mph zone that morning.
