Douglas County Health Department Director Dr. Adi Pour says as we hit the peak of West Nile virus season, the numbers reported in Douglas County are the most reported in the past 10 years with several weeks for that number to grow. While most people will have no symptoms or mild symptoms at most , there is a small 1-2% of people who could require hospitalization for the virus that has no vaccine and no cure.
