Three Omaha Gas Stations Robbed Monday Morning

Three Omaha gas stations were robbed over a two hour period Monday morning and police are trying to determine if they are related.

The first robbery happened at the Corner Food Mart near 24th and G around 5:15 a.m.  Officers spoke with an employee who said a Hispanic or black man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a scarf over his face entered the store, made a gesture as if he had a weapon and demanded money. After the clerk refused to hand over any money the suspect fled on foot.

The second robbery was reported at the Mega Saver at 41st and Dodge shortly after 6 a.m.  Police say a woman entered the store, indicated that she had a gun and demanded money. She took the cash and walked off to the southeast.

Shortly after 7 a.m. officers were called to the Midtown Gas & Grocery near 24th and Poppleton Street. An employee told investigators that a woman in a blue jacket came into the store, indicated that she had a weapon and demanded money. She took the cash and ran to the south.

Police say there are similarities in all three hold-ups and are trying to determine if they are related. If you have any information about either of these three incidents you are asked to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402 444-STOP.
