Thousands Of Flags On Display For 9/11 Victims

For the 17th straight year thousands of American flags have been placed in Omaha's Memorial Park to remember the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Each flag bears the name and age of a victim and location where they died along with personal information.  The flags of those who have a Nebraska connection will be placed in a special circle.

The memorial is organized by Lynn Castrianno, whose brother, Leonard Castrianno, died that day. He was on the 105th floor of the north tower at the World Trade Center

The flags will be displayed from through September 16th.
