Omaha Apartment Building Damaged By Fire

Omaha firefighters were able to quickly extinguish an early morning kitchen fire in an apartment building. They were called to three story apartment complex near 108th and Harrison around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

There were no smoke or flames when they rolled up.  Once inside they found smoke coming from a third floor apartment.  Investigators say the fire was caused by food left burning on the stove.  No one was injured and one resident was displaced.

The fire caused more than $20,000 in damage.
