Burke High School students got to go home early Tuesday after a suspected broken water pipe caused flooding over the noon hour.
The broken pipe triggered the fire alarms and prompted a precautionary evacuation out of "an abundance of caution." Parents were notified on the incident that happened at approximately 12:15 p.m.
School officials said the broken pipe was on the upstairs level of the school. At 1:00 school officials decided to postpone classes for the rest of the day.
There are no after school activities. Burke is located near 120th and West Dodge
