The man who escaped from the Nebraska Department of Correction's Work Ethic Camp in McCook Thursday is back in custody.
The Nebraska State Patrol determined that 20 year old Christian Reinke of Hebron was driving a stolen 1998 "Chevrolet Suburban. At 1:20, that vehicle was spotted near 168th and Highway 36.
That vehicle then pulled into the parking lot at Bennington High School and that prompted a lockdown. Additional State Patrol units rushed to the scene. The vehicle then left the school parking lot and headed on Bennington Road. Officers from the Bennington Police Department, Dodge County Sheriff's Office and the Omaha Police Department arrived at the scene.
The Suburban was stopped near 144th and Bennington Road. Reinke was behind the wheel and was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle as well as on additional charges related to his escape.
Three other occupants of the vehicle were taken in for questioning. The investigation continues.
