Two People Recovering After Omaha Shooting

Two people are recovering after being shot near 30th and Redick Street early Wednesday evening. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert of gunfire around 6:45 p.m.  When officers arrived, they located a shooting scene, but no victims. 

Two victims later arrived at Immanuel Hospital.  Investigators determined that shots were fired from a white Hyundai Sonata and struck 20 year old Devers Ennis and 26 year old Nigel Phillips.  

Officers located the vehicle used in the shooting in the 6900 block of Florence Boulevard. As officers approached, two people ran from the car.  Officers took them both into custody without incident.  They have yet to be identified.

During the follow up investigation, 26 year old Larue Marcos arrived in the area. Officers took Marcos into custody and booked him at Douglas County Corrections for Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
