Ralston Fireworks Rescheduled For End Of August

Ralston's 4th of July fireworks display may have gotten rained out, but it has only given the city time to bring it back, bigger and better.

Mayor Don Groesser tells NewsRadio 1110 KFAB that they have rescheduled the display to cap off Ralston's "Night Out" event. "We're gonna have a little party before the fireworks. We have a live band coming in, we'll have food trucks, we'll have a lot of kids activities. Then we'll conclude everything at 8:45 with the fireworks."

Groesser says although things went awry on the 4th, he's thankful the city could still put on the fireworks show. "Kick off the school year, Husker football, kick off all kinds of things. We're doing it all, so it will just be a great thing for the whole metropolitan area."

Ralston's "Night Out" will be held at the Ralston Arena on Friday, August 31st. Activities kick off at 6:30 PM with fireworks at 8:45.
