The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Eastern Douglas County and Southwest Pottawattamie County until 2:00 PM.
Very heavy rains have fallen in the warned area in a short period of time.
Some areas in the Metro that will experience flooding include Omaha, Council Bluffs, Bellevue, La Vista, Ralston, Carter Lake and Lake Manawa State Park.
Treynor, Underwood, Crescent and Macedonia in SW Iowa are also mentioned, as are Old Town Park, Hitchcock Nature Center and Narrows River Park.
