Second Arrest Made In Deadly Omaha Carjacking

A second man has been arrested in connection with a deadly carjacking at 30th and Dodge last Sunday. 19 year old Saturnino Covarrubias of Sioux City is jailed in Woodbury County.

Covarrubias was arrested Friday morning by officers from the Sioux City Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Northern Iowa Fugitive Task Force. 

The investigation led officials to a home in Sioux City where Covarrubias was arrested on a warrant issued in Douglas County for first-degree homicide. 

27 year old Andrew Peek was shot and killed as he pumped gas at the Bucky's around 6:00 a.m. Sunday Antwan Lovejoy was arrested in the case on Tuesday on charges of first degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony. He is currently being held in Douglas County without bond.
