Motorcyclist Dies In Thursday Night Crash

An Omaha motorcyclist has died following a Thursday night crash.

Omaha Police say just after 10:30, officers were dispatched to a personal injury crash involving a motorcycle at 90th and Decatur. Investigators say that a 2005 Dodge Durango was speeding on northbound on 90th when it sideswiped a northbound Hyundai SUV near Franklin.

The Durango continued northbound, striking a northbound Honda Civic. The Durango then crossed the raised concrete median, rolled and slid into the southbound 90th Street traffic lanes. In the process, the Durango struck a southbound Daix PMZ125 motorcycle. The Durango then came to a stop in front of the Marriott Reservation Center.

Omaha Fire Medics arrived at the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist, 46 year old Joseph Dillow, dead. Paramedics transported the driver of the Durango, 24 year old Mederika Scott, to CHI Bergan for minor, non-life threatening injuries. Scott was treated and then taken into custody on charges of Felony Motor Vehicle Homicide, DUI and DUS.

No other drivers were injured in the crash.
